This was funny and sad and beautiful at the end. I was feeling a little lack luster at the start of this story but after about 30% I started to really get with it. It reminded me a lot of really good, actually and I enjoyed that book because I think it did an incredible job depicting exactly what a breakup can feel like and how self sabotaging we can all be when we can't wrap our heads around things. I loved that we got to see both sides of the relationship too. Think we could have used more of the ex-girlfriends POV. But overall this was really good.

This was so messy. I don't even know what to rate it. Just so much happened in such a short period of time. I'm just not sure this was a very good romantic story. I hmm, don't know what to say.

This was actually super entertaining! I was not looking forward to another mafia book tbh. But this ended up having an interesting plot. I'm ready to see where this story goes next.

My horny brain was into this one lol. It was decent, nothing groundbreaking or deeply romantic, but I am very interested to see where book two goes. As always I love hearing me some Shane East.

You know, I should really start reading the synopsis of the book...not my kink TBH. I don't like hearing that your raised her since she was 5. Byeeeee

If this book has been clsoer to 200 pages and had less time surrounding camp it would have been a  star read. But as the story progressed and the lack of plot continued, the more this book fell off the cliff. It's so frustrating because these characters had some deep seeded issues and it makes sense the way they both had trouble communicating and opening up for one another, but slowly Rory started to piss me off with her pushing Russ and the looming anxiety about both their familial issue just harshed the hell out of my vibe. I think by 50% I was losing interest and I just skimmed a good bit of the last 25% because I was ready to get it over with already. I loved the bones, didn't love the execution. Okay, Hannah Grace has one more shot with me lol

Predictable and generally just okay, not great. I'll see if book two is interested.

I don't even really know what to say about this one. Some interesting moments but nothing truly captivating. The FMC was super annoying and I would have preferred she come across stronger considering her background. Thacher was okay...nothing special imo. Lots of knife play here. Not my thing but eh, to each their own. This very much felt like a setup for another book imo.

Something about this book truly spoke to my soul! I think there is something so easy to relate to here and it centers on the need and want to feel loved but also feeling entirely unloveable. Damn, this book took me out. I loved seeing these two fall for one another and you could literally feel the love for one another when they reconnected. Lachlan annoyed me a bit when they reconnected. I don't love when people just struggle to be open with one another and we experienced some of that here so it wasn't exactly perfect. I cried so many tears through this in Part 2. I laughed a ton too. It was a perfect balance for me. I'll definitely be reading more from this author!

Started audio and finished reading the last few chapters with my eyeballs.
