The pacing felt slightly off to me and I could have done with a little more pining from these two. But their banter was good overall and I appreciated seeing the small glimpse of humanity in this mafioso lol

Not feeling these characters. She's immature and rude and obstinant for no reason. He's boring and ridgid and just yeah. Byeeeee

I'm just fully not invested in the way this story ends. Nothing about it feels very captivating. I think the character we're stuck with isn't all that interesting or endearing enough after a while to continue on with the story. People did and I barely cared at all. Also v weird age gap

This felt like such a well rounded story. I wish that some reveals about the main characters had come sooner but I actually enjoyed the suspenseful aspect and love Laqette's writing. I wish that they had built up the relationship a little before being so physically attracted to one another but this was fun and a great addition to the month.

This was so fun! It really massaged my horny brain. Looking forward to reading more in this series. Hated the miscommunication but loved the friend being like, "Hello you idiot."

This story was filled with characters that felt so real! I was laughing and smiling with them for so much of the story. I really enjoyed seeing these two build a relationship based really at the start on attraction yes but also a love for each other's minds. They felt like well rounded characters and I had such a great time with this book. Short story but filled with well rounded characters. I'm really looking forward to reading more from the author. Wasn't quite perfect for me but it felt so authentic. I also appreciated how these two took their time at the end of it all.

The Fall Risk by Abby Jimenez

Cute short story. It packed depth for me but it was a short story so that is expected. At times the writing felt over the top and kind of cringe with the humor, but some very enjoyable moments were had here too. I didn't love the commentary on divorce. It just felt juvenile. I get that it was a mechanism to make us like the MMC but it made me kind of annoyed as someone going through a divorce.
