Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy

There's nothing like a book with magic, adventure, murder mystery, and witty banter from a skeleton. The last time I read all of the Skulduggery Pleasant books was when I was in junior high and I had forgotten how hilarious they could be while still managing to include small heartfelt moments and exciting adventure. I really don't have many qualms with this, though I wouldn't say it was quite five stars.

I guess I'm just a sucker for historical books written in free verse because, like Audacity by Melanie Crowder, I found this story to be stunning and powerful. Such a powerful and inspiring story of standing up for what you believe in.

It is currently 11:14 pm and I just finished this book a few minutes ago. I had mixed feelings about it in the beginning (especially with the passage of time, I kept getting confused about that) but holy cow this book was a glorious ending to the trilogy. It made me cry at the end. I still prefer the other two books, though this one is certainly a masterpiece in its own way. Thank you Neal Shusterman for yet another fabulous read.
