We met Addie in The Confession which is book 5 of Eden Falls Academy and her story intrigued me so I’m very happy her story got its own book.

I am a girl who loves text and emails in my books. I have another one to add, journal entries. I loved them and it gave us a glimpse from the beginning of when Addie & Evan met. This book does go from past to present but in a very unique way that gives us an insight into his thoughts without him actually being there in the beginning. I’m so happy we had those entries. I felt so many emotions while reading them and felt like we got to see how their relationship unfolded without living through it with them. Normally I need to live through it with the characters to fully connect, but in this case it wasn’t needed. Those entries were enough. I’m a reader who reads pretty much all romances from clean to down right filthy and this storyline left so much room to go towards the dirty side. Judy made it sexy without going all the way so it’s more fade to black. I really liked Addie’s character but when it came to Evan and his journal entries he sounded super young. Then at about the 45% mark his words were older, if that makes sense. I was however angry with Evan for most of the book. In my mind there is zero excuse for what he did and the way he did it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I always tend to fall in love with a side character. I absolutely LOVE Ian so much. The way he was with Addy was so sweet even if they were just friends. Did I secretly want the plot to go a different way? Yes, yes I did. 🤣 It’s that forbidden reader in me, can’t stop… won’t stop… 🤣 The storyline of this book is WILD and had my brain going the last half of the book. I would think it was going a certain direction and it would go a complete different way. I love that! I REALLY hope Ian gets a book 🤞🏻🤞🏻

It starts out so sad 😭😭 I feel like had I read book one and rolled right into book 2 I would have teared up. Eli has to go back to the ranch and it’s been 3 years since she’s been there. She knows for a fact she is going to see Luke and they haven’t talked since she left. The man Eli is with now is a complete douchebag! The fact that there are really men out there like him makes me physically ill. The way he talks about her body makes me want to reach through my kindle and handle him. Luke is everything and Brandon is trash. Period. Anyways, I’m realizing that second chance just isn’t my favorite. It’s fine but not something I end up loving most of the time. The first book was infinity stars. This one just didn’t do it for me as much 😔 I still love Luke but in this one I really didn’t like Eli. She annoyed me and by the end I thought he could do better 🙈 I said what I said. I’m still glad I finished the duet. I’m just bummed book 1 was infinity stars and this one is so low 😭 I might not be a duet kinda girl.

Hmmmm… I’m not really sure how I felt about this one. I do know that I enjoyed the first part better than the second. Malachi was so mysterious and as a child he knew that Olivia was his. I hear people compare him to Zade from Haunting Adeline but I’ve never read that one. I felt like there was a disconnect between me and the writing. I didn’t have the feelings I normally would while reading a book like this. Did I believe their love? Maybe. I just honestly didn’t really care. I loved the taboo/forbidden aspect of Malachi being Olivia’s foster brother. One thing I hate about that trope is the constant mention of “big brother” “little sister” it gets super annoying. We know they are foster siblings we don’t need to hear about it every time they f**k. I guess this book annoyed me more than anything and I really didn’t care for Olivia. This book is only 207 pages and it took me 5 days to read. That’s wild because I normally binge these short books. So yeah… those are my thoughts. Oh wait, I almost forgot. There is a scene with a spider and that right f**king there would have ended any kind of relationship I had going with the guy. You can f**k me with a screwdriver but don’t you dare put a spider anywhere near me you f**king psycho! 🤣🤣🤣

Infinity stars!!!!! As most of you can tell by my current reads, I’m in my cowboy era. Eliana goes to stay with her grandparents on their ranch and the head rancher is no other than Luke Stone! Right off the bat I LOVED his character. He’s rough around the edges but you know damn well there is a sweet man underneath that tough exterior. Their banter is so good and the jealousy was top notch. I loved everything about Luke. He’s been through a lot of loss in his life so getting close to anyone is a struggle. There is just something about Eliana that captures his attention. My face hurts from smiling so much.  I’m not going to go into anymore detail than that because you should go into this book as blind as possible. I binged it in one sitting and book 2 isn’t quite out yet and I’m about to have a mental breakdown. I need more Luke & Eli right now!!! This is my first book by Nichole Greene and it won’t be my last.

If you’re in your cowboy era, Read This Now!!! I’m completely obsessed with the vibes of this book. The setting of the ranch and the country bar just made me so giddy. Andrew Dawson runs the O’hare Ranch and Harper Cassidy is a Pre-K teacher who emails the ranch to see about scheduling a field trip. Well, that goes on for 5 years! Every year she takes her class and every year her and Mr Dawson flirt and they clearly have so much chemistry. Andrew calls her “darlin’” and I would melt every single time. This is a 106 page novella but it’s a SLOW BURN!!! They know each other are interested but nobody makes a move, until finally one does. Once the move is made I was constant smiles and blushing like crazy. The rope play🔥🔥🔥 I had all the feels reading this novella and I’m big sad it’s over.

Wow! This was so much deeper than any memoir could ever be. It’s so raw, sad, and very deep. I am not one for poems, I actually don’t really like them. This book of poems? Was so much more than just poems, they actually read like song lyrics. Listening to the audiobook made me feel more emotions than had I read it with my eyeballs. I’m happy she’s the one that read them. Was this really her normal life?? Has she ever NOT been abused? Has she ever been truly loved? Does she even know what love is? Why does she stay in relationships like this? This goes to show you that you don’t know what happens behind closed doors. At the end of the day some might say she’s the toxic one, all I know is everyone deserves to be happy and if being abused is “not boring” to her and that’s why she stays then there is nothing left to be said. I listened to the podcast Call Her Daddy where Megan was talking about her life. She claims that normal relationships are boring and she needs a toxic, “passionate” relationship to fully feel fulfilled (it was something along those lines, don’t quote me). That right there says a lot. I don’t know about you but I’ll keep my “normal, boring” relationship until the day I die and I guarantee it won’t be by the hands of my husband. Not sure she can say the same.

This was an okay read. I have to believe the characters love for one another and this one just didn’t do that for me. I loved the cult storyline and the religion he is a part of but that’s about it. I’m also not big on religion in my books but with this being an Easter read I couldn’t be mad at it. It’s super quick and at times felt like a lifetime movie mixed with Hallmark and a steamy scene thrown in. I might eventually read others in the series.

My husband read it awhile ago and said he didn’t think I would like the world. Well, that was actually the most interesting part of this story. It sucked me in and I loved it. It didn’t quite give me those 5⭐️ feelings but it’s still really good. I wasn’t sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t that. I started book 2 because of how book 1 ends. I think I’m just going to stop reading that one and just say the ending of this one is just how it is.

I’ve been in the worst reading slump and this book brought me so much joy! Tara is due to marry David and really doesn’t want to. On the day of their wedding she takes off in her sisters car and gets stuck in a snow storm. Leo shows up and saves her but not in human form at first. This book was so freaking cute and the moment he knew she was his mate he called her “my girl” and I swear my face hurt from smiling so much from that point on. If you’re wanted a deep read, this isn’t it. If you want good storyline with good characters that will make you laugh and swoon then this is the novella for you. I almost didn’t read it because of the super low reviews, I should know better than that. Find out for yourself :)
