An absolute joy to read! I loved the twists and turns, after the half way point I couldn't put the book down. I might have liked this part even more than the first, definitely will be reading the last one too! I can't wait to see what mysteries they find next and where Avery's relationships go with the Hawthornes.

I'm so happy to have Max back, I really hope they keep in touch too!

What a wild ride, poor Ruth getting sucked into all this insanity when she just wants to study bones!

I had a great time reading this and I'm so glad I stuck until the end. I wasn't so hooked that I'd drop everything else just to read on, but it still kept me interested and I'm so glad to have read it right now for a little more chilled attitude to making progress in the book.

Love the fast pacing in the end, and how the mystery kept me guessing, but was still well set up so I could have figured it out if I wanted to spend a little more time on that instead of finding out as Ruth and the others did.

Glad to see Ruth getting a little better with her fatphobia, but I'm hoping she doesn't go back later!

I personally struggled to stay focused on the book, I kept getting distracted and often even left it in the middle of a chapter.

The story was interesting though and I'm glad I finished the book. Loved the twists and turns towards the end of the book, I might read the next part at some point!

Almost gave up in the beginning with all of Ruth's (and everyone else's) internalized fatphobia, not sure if it was 100% worth it. I'm glad I finished the book, loved the mystery of it! Some of the twists were really surprising and some of them I was happy to have guessed in advance.

I will be continuing the series, hoping to see Ruth grow out of judging everyone's weight.

The theme of children being kidnapped and killed can be very difficult to handle, I'm very glad of the families whose children dissapeared had a connection and supported each other in something very traumatizing. Kind of hated all the infedility, I wish so many of them weren't out there cheating on their partners and knowingly having relationships with married people.

What a fun mystery! As an ecape room worker, the puzzle type mysteries were really to my taste and I had so much fun figuring out what secrets lie in everything and everywhere 👀

I will definitely be continuing the series as soon as I can get my hands on the next part!
