This book was everything I was hoping for it to be and more. This book was funny, surprising, heartbreaking, and one of the best books I've read so far this year. This book had depth I wasn't expecting but gladly welcomed. There were a lot of characters to follow at first, but as you got to know each of them and their stories, you start to look forward to each of their little chapters and discovering more about this town that is so backwards and is also trying its best. This book made me really come to terms with the reality of why banned books are more important to read now than ever before.

I was loving the first book, but honestly this is my favorite now. I LOVE Lachlan and Lark's chemistry and all the little connections between them that gradually progressed through the book. I love how insane they are, both in general and for each other! And that CLIFFHANGER. I can't wait to see what the author has in store for us in the last book. I'm on the edge of my seat with anticipation! But I gotta say, this book really made me look at my snow globe collection a lot differently now. 👀

Thank you NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for giving me access to the eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. While I overall enjoyed this book, I have to say I struggled with liking the main character at first. She eventually ended up growing on me, but it took me a minute. I also predicted who the love interest would end up being as soon as they were introduced. It was overall a little predictable to me, and the ending felt a bit anticlimactic. But I thought the premise of the book and the supporting characters were phenomenal. Overall it's a cute little queer romance, but not my cup of tea.

I receivef an eARC of this book.
I came for some LGBTQ+ representation and stayed because this book stole my heart! I've been needing a perfect WLW book in my life, and this author did not disappoint! I felt like I could relate to both the main characters so easily. I even fell in love with all the side characters, even Avery (iykyk lol). I loved the author's writing style and sense of humor that shone throughout the book. The spice was delicious and the mental health representation was spectacular! If hot, sapphic workplace romances with all the dogs sound like a good time, this book is definitely for you!

I received an ARC of this book in a trade.
This is my first time reading a book about a polyamorous group that was written by someone who openly identifies as queer. And let me tell you, this author did not disappoint. In fact, far from it - I wish I could give 6 stars. This is currently one of my favorite reads of 2024 so far. I don't know if people understand how important GOOD representation of polyamory is, and how hard it is to find. Not only how the dynamics work, but how it's okay to be figuring it out as you go. This book normalizes that sexuality is ever fluid and changing, even in your 30's and later. I definitely recommend this book for the laughs, the hope, and the representation alone.
