I now know why people describe things as “a tour de force”. That’s what this book is. This is a whistle stop tour of a series of space worlds, and a grounding love letter to science and discovery

Fuck me. It’s been a while since I read til I fell asleep and then woke up in the morning and picked it right back up again. This book has gotten me back to reading in the evenings as standard. Will be consuming the rest of the series shortly.

Bloody hell why did I overlook Asimov for so long. Incredible writing and world-building. The one flaw was the very of-it’s-time perception of women in society, even in a far flung future.

A brilliant collection of short stories centered around destruction of planets (mostly Earth) by human interference. It shows the development of ideas in sci-fi and the general public over time and each story was enjoyable in it's own way.
