This got much better as it went along, I didn’t love the first two essays but then progressively I found myself liking the following ones more and more. My favorites were probably Ecstasy and The Cult of Difficult Women. Jia Tolentino is so cool and I want to be her friend.

Loved this, brought me back to how I felt in the first few months of quarantine in kind of a painful way. “Something to Do” was my favorite essay.

Considerably slower than the first book, but the political philosophy delivered with Viet Thanh Nguyen’s excellent writing style made it engaging nonetheless.
