i can’t tell if it’s the nostalgia or not but this book is somehow so much better than it was the first time i read it

i’m weak and this series is GOOD
i keep having these weird moments where i’m like “ugh this is so cliche” and then i have to remember that it’s cliche BECAUSE of this book, this book INVENTED the cliches. and then... there are some moments where katniss’s dialogue or internal dialogue is like, kinda cringey, and i’m like ugh but then i remember... it’s a very specific choice because she’s only 17!!! suzanne collins is NOT letting us forget that even if the movies tried to and WOW these books are genius okay.
