One of the best endings I've read in a while. The pacing of this book was fantastic. It never gave more than it had to and knew exactly what moments to drag out to maximize terror. The narrator did an amazing job as well. Audiobooks sometimes under deliver in my opinion, but this was not the case here. Great book and listen.

Unclear whether having your wings ripped off or reading this book hurts worse. The boring parts were too tedious to put into words. Almost all the action (barring a small bit of intrigue just after the beginning of the book) was shoved into the last 75-100 pages like some sort of twisted parting gift for sticking with the story that long. Condensed to 200-300 pages this could be great. The 3 star rating is based solely on that. As a whole though I'd rather Amarantha drag herself back from hell and feed me to a middengard wyrm than listen to anymore of Rhys and Feyre.

The parts of this book not dominated by action were painfully slow. Feyre and Tamlin lacked any personality to pull off carrying the book, but the story itself was fun to read. The world of Prythian with all its courts and bloodshed and odd but charmingly intriguing cast of inhabitants was well built. Maybe just skip a few pointless painting and picnic scenes

Incredibly dull, briefly interesting, and then a meandering stroll to another boring vista.
