I really liked the story, the writing, characters, showing how one person's crimes have effect on so many people. I also liked that we got explanation how he became murderer, but we didn't give him too much attention, it was all about victims and their families. What I didn't like was the solution - I was expecting some awesome surprise and plot twist, but it turned out it was what I thought almost from the beginning it will be. The narrators were ok, maybe lady one should be more careful not to bump mic so many times lol Also, I was pleasantly surprised we got the interview with the author at the end, I wish every book had that!

I feel this whole series could be epic if it was actually developed into full story instead just draft. Introducing new characters and having dream sequences 100 pages before the end is just ridiculous to me. I feel nothing coming to end of it except I'm glad it's over.

Great novellas collection. The stories are so different that I feel every part of my brain was tickled. A must read for King lovers, especially Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption.

It's funny I'm giving this such a high rating because I soft DNF'd it for 2 weeks when first started, but then I listened to it from the beginning again and really loved it. I liked how plot twist were interwoven into story, pacing was great - short chapters were a good choice, narrators did a wonderful job, everything just clicked for me.

I feel like Zelazny makes penultimate books in this series fillers. It was like that with Corwin's story and he did the same with Merlin - MC tripping balls the whole book. I skimmed most of it, nothing really important happened for most of the book.

I hate when book disappoints me this much. It began great, I loved the writing, amazing pace, I truly felt the emotions on the page. And then at one point it all started to fall apart until it crashed and burned completely. Too much of this story relies on characters doing stupid decisions, unbelievable coincidences, ridiculous plot-twists I was praying wouldn't happen. Motivations made no sense, I don't think trauma works like that. It will kill your time for sure, but prepare to suspend a lot of disbelief to not get annoyed out of your mind.

I loved the rise of political intrigue in the "Amber Universe" and the cliffhanger ending, but if one more plot point happens because Oberon fucked someone, I'm probably gonna scream.

Alright, I still like Merlin more than Corwin, but to be honest I had no idea what was happening in this book 80% of the time.

I liked how we got a bunch of new characters and a great mystery for the ending (if it really is the last one). It was such a fun ride, I'm glad I stuck with it 'till the end. It's not objectively 5 stars, but I grew close with this story, so I want to show my appreciation. Predictable feel good ending, but it was expected. The narrator did a great job throughout the whole series.

The first book in a long long time I started to reread as soon as I finished it for the first time. And it was amazing, again.
