Seduced In A Storm by Royaline Sing
4.25
Yesssss I really enjoyed this!!! Give me a virgin barrister hero and I WILL become feral. BARK BARK BARK let me at himmmm!!!! Suddenly I’m Scrappy Doo.
The only thing that’s holding me back from five stars is that the writing was a bit flowery for my tastes. Not only were there a lot of metaphors and analogies back to back, they happened most frequently during the spicy scenes which was a bit distracting. I also didn’t mind the flashbacks, but it felt like they jammed up the pace and flow of the story.
But all in all, this is a wonderful little novella with a BEAUTIFUL cover, and it is FREE when you subscribe to Royaline’s Newsletter! I’d easily read more in the series and even more of this book!

Honestly this could’ve been three stars but there were other reads recently I gave three stars (or at least rounded down) that were definitely better than this so it didn’t seem right to give it three. There was definitely a promising book here, it just felt a bit lazy or tired.
Basically, I thought this was going to be a fun romp, but it fell rather flat. It was very short so you may assume nothing happened, but unfortunately so much was happening that it was very surface level all around. The romance didn’t do much for me, there was a misused aka not used at all sex club, stressful flashbacks, a current villain ???, and then the preparing his sisters for society plot was just randomly dropped.
Mary Jane Wells was back with her Welsh accent, but alas it didn’t give me any of the Marrying Winterborne feels. I did love her narration though. And this is a tricky two star book because I definitely didn’t hate it. There wasn’t really a third act breakup, and while a bit thin, the romance was at least sweet. I also liked the last line before the epilogue. Plus, book three sounds SO GOOD!!

I received a free gifted finished copy from BiblioLifestyle and Avon Books in exchange for a feature on my page; reading and reviewing was optional. All opinions are honest and my own.

The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson
5.0
This gets 5/5 seeing as I had NO clue where the hell this was going at any point. The justice was had and my heart was truly racing. The narrator absolutely struggled with the English accents though (at least to me, someone who is definitely not from England and also can’t do accents).

The Lady He Lost by Faye Delacour
2.5
I don’t think there was much wrong with it, but I was bored as sin…so maybe there wasn’t much right with it either. The narrator also didn’t help, as she sounded a bit wispy and breathy. A book where the hero returns from the dead should be so exciting!!! But the story just never kicked off for me. I probably would’ve DNFed if it wasn’t an arc. Bonus points for virgin hero though! But then minus those bonus points for her horrible brother and mostly horrible/only slightly redeemed cousin.

Tastes Like Shakkar by Nisha Sharma
3.5
I liked this one soooooo much better than Dating Dr. Dil but I was expecting way more enemies to lovers?? They gave up on their feud super early and the tension left the story along with it. The rest was this sabotage plot that was just kinda chaotic and frustrating because she wasn’t telling the bride!! But I really loved the food content and Benjamin was very hot especially while delivering the food content 😮💨
I think this maybe would’ve worked a bit better as single POV since having both really took the wind out of the E2L sails for me. Aka there was nothing surprising since we knew all their thoughts anyway. The sex scenes were also super hot but they ended abruptly and were rather short.
As for the narrators, I adore Soneela Nankani and she was fantastic here. Benjamin’s narrator was great except for the voice he chose for Bobbi…which was a bit frustrating.
Overall, I knew my issues with Dating Dr. Dil were mainly with Prem, so I was excited to give the series another try. I’m definitely happy I gave it a go and I’m very ready for book three. I was definitely scared about the third book given what we were told at the end of this one, but the summary sounds WAY more fun. I love Twelfth Night and I love accidental marriages!!!

I rounded down for Goodreads because I don’t think I’ll have the need to reread this, but it was still a very solid book!
