I did really enjoy how this series showcased the differences between the magic world and the human world, like that unless a supernatural being integrated themselves into the human world they didn't know of particular gadgets that we all use on our day to day adventures or wouldn't think to consider someone else not knowing what it is.

However when describing some things K.M. uses the same wording sometimes in the same book. I understand going over things when you're refreshing readers on what's going on but try to use different phrasing next time. I really enjoyed the series though it was a little predictable at least as far as her getting a partner and who that potential partner would be. But I enjoyed the series and look forward to reading future series from you. =) Good luck in your writing adventures!

I also loved how when Jade confesses her feelings, that wasn't the end of the 'seduction'. He was still willing to continue seducing her because that will always help the relationship grow further and it just shows his level of devotion.

I swear I've read this book before - and I don't mean this year (which is the published year) but like a decade or two ago.

I'm not saying the book was predictable in the general sense but as in I swear I've read this book before. I hate to declare plagirism - especially because for the life of me I can't remember what the title or author of the book I read before was called.

Aside from that I'd give it a 5 star review.

I wish Micai had a dormant healing ability that not even Morgan could identify until it gets activiated by the knowledge of loving someone or.. something. =( This was the worst/best kind of cliffhanger and definitely had me crying at the end but I'm so looking forward to the next in the series.

This book had the potential on being great but it just wasn't there for me. I got about 20% in and then had to put it down because there were several things that irked me -- and if you don't want spoilers please don't read any further.

I think the prologue was a great section - it left you wanting more but within the first 2-3 pages of the first chapter you already knew who the love interest was and I personally feel like if Eden felt unmeasurable attraction to Kiran would be understandable but it doesn't lead to anything else. Why would you want someone who's mean to  you and bullies you all the time? This isn't a bullies to lovers or an enemies to lovers though I feel that would hold more appeal.

The cliche new girl at school where everyone, including the teachers are mean to her. I feel like the teachers might feel inconvenienced with a new student but should for the most part (unless given their general demeanor) would be friendly as they are educating the youth and all -- but maybe that's my experience.

This book again had the potential to be a lot better than it was - but I couldn't get passed liking the bully for no other reason than he's pretty. To me he's offering stalker vibes and only seems to want her because she wasn't immediately fangirling over him.

I hope the author doesn't take this as an attack on her but rather constructive criticism and I hope this helps you grow as a writer. Good luck =)

I like the way this was written, the POV sounds like an educated princess, using words that are more her caliber but could also be hard to read for those that don't have the best reading level. Verene didn't seem as interested in the love interest or it wasn't presented as such for 3/4ths of the book and I wish their was more events going on in the school/academy themed stuff - like drama and what not. It was still intriguing though and I've already infested in the sequel.

I was originally excited to read this book but very early into it I started to lose interest. The biggest issue I dealt with was that four out of five of the male characters seemed exactly the same and they were introduced so early on that you don't really grasp their personalities on an individual level. Which makes the whole book feel uninteresting. I got to page 51, which is about 16% of the way through the book.

Some parts of the book were hard to keep up on - between Meyer's thoughts and actions it felt like there was more thought than action and then you got lost in her feelings and we're exactly sure where she was or what she was doing. This was more evident when Nox and Meyer were kissing and during the race.

Nox's personality also feels two-dimensional - like his aggression and the cliche alpha-like tendencies seem artificial. I just don't feel like an actual person would be this angry/possessive all the time and when the viewpoint is switched to him I feel like it doesn't explain his moodiness quite so much. -- Like it reminds me of high school level drama in moodiness when they are all at least college level aged or older.

The moodiness, the territorial-ness over Meyer between the brothers and the way they man-handle her irks me to no end. I was looking forward to the plot but the general unseamliness between action and thought make the book hard to keep up with.

I got about 77% done with the book before putting on my DNF list. I hope if you look at this review B.M. Clemton that you realize I'm not trying to attack you, but if you can take my words as constructive criticism and hopefully this helps you grow as a writer.

When Ritter captures Red... does he not notice she no longer has the mating ink? Bcuz I realize that wasn't mentioned now that I'm on the last book of the series..
