I recently got a chicken that fell off of a meat truck and absolutely fell in love with him. This quick read was quite cute! I wish that it had a little more scientific information, but the insights into the author's years of chicken keeping were quite interesting.

Really enjoyed this and it made me think a lot. I loved the love story and the ending was absolutely perfect. It was a bit heavier than the other Crouch books I've read, but I've enjoyed everything by him that I've picked up.

This wasn't particularly a well-written book, but it was extremely fast paced and easy to read. I was looking for something quick and I finished this in just an afternoon. The author did a good job of making the mystery pretty compelling at first, but I felt like about 3/4 of the way through it started to drag a little bit as the story resolved and definitely became less believable.

I really didn't care for this book when I first started and found it to drag a bit, but towards the end, the pace really picked up and it got more interesting. I felt like some of the characters were a little redundant and I wish the writing had been better, but the story was interesting. It really did a great job of capturing the vibe of coming of age as a teenage girl, even though it was set decades before I was a teenager.
