That epilogue actually took a couple of years of life. I also had to put the book down and take a lap which is successful considering the point of the book but DAMN 😭😭 Fred had a lowkey concerning attachment to Story and to me the fact that he was a virgin AND lack of therapy had me feeling icky but that ending eased that a little

The inconsistencies in the plot (

blood after shopping vs during the wedding

) and the spice scenes not being up my alley didn’t work well for the book and my rating BUT I was so cringed out twice that I nearly didn’t finish the book and for that, the author was successful

They needed to go to therapy because yes it was a happy ending but some things they struggled with would come back without actual resolutions to the said issues
