I would’ve liked to see him be introduced and bond with the gold rush family instead of being hidden from them the entire time

It was sweet and I get where she was going but there just wasn’t chemistry between them and elsy was just dumb for plot purposes which I don’t like. There were also some moments of bad writing like one paragraph it’s “he set me down” then a few paragraphs later “he tightened his grip” then a few paragraphs later “he finally set me down.” Idk just kinda missed the mark for me it seemed like it was rushed writing and could’ve been more fleshed out. Ashley poston is one of my favorite authors though if you didn’t like this book read her others you won’t regret it!

I wish I had books like this when I was young, I’m so glad these are so popular and (even though I’m a little older than I should be reading these) they’re so fun for a quick book and so sweet
