Built me up broke me put me back together then broke me again and repeat.
But i will say it can be a little slow and sometimes confusing because the author definitely draws a lot of inspiration from the classics and at times it seems written in an unnecessarily deep way.

Beautiful. less of a romance and more of a love story, not just between a man and woman but between a woman, a small town, a complicated family, and a gift she never wanted. If you’re from a small town and not sure how to feel about you’ll sob your way through this book, it’s so beautifully written and paints such a vivid picture of the love hate relationship you have with your hometown. (but i will admit sometimes the MC was a little cliche but not in an in ur face way) Please read it anyway

It was good but it didn’t really feel like a murder mystery, more like a semi mysterious lit fic about teenage people growing up and getting past insecurities. it’s slow to start but you do get invested in the main characters lives and start to care about them, the “mystery” is interesting at best though.

no chemistry
time jump was too much there was too much to catch up on and there were huge things being left out up until the last couple chapters and not in a fun plot twist way but in a what’s going on i’m confused way
