I found it to be very good at first, but the ending I was confused and didn’t love it. At first I overlooked the comments about paranormal activity happening in the lake because at some point it mentioned multiple personality order so I got confused and the ending didn’t make sense. I felt the ending was rushed in the last two chapters. It’s my first book by Riley Sager, and I’ve heard other good things so I’ll try something else, but this one wasn’t the one for me. It’s bed for a quick read.

took until the last two chapters to wrap it up, a quick read but wouldn’t recommend. 0/10 recommend. better off reading The Housemaid, if you’re looking for a quick psychological thriller!

I went back and forth on reading this, but I’m glad I did. Actually I listened to the audiobook, as it was recommended by Spotify. I finished it in 3 days, and I wish it didn’t end. It’s a tough read, and there are many trigger warnings. I cried, laughed, everything. 10/10 recommend.

bought this on a whim at Barnes and Noble while on vacation, as it was recommended in the fiction sections. short chapters and the characters drew me in instantly. ending was shortcoming/little bit predictable, but because of it being an easy thriller read, 4 ⭐️

the begging grabbed my attention instantly. easy read but the middle dragged. ending definitely makes you think- but I didn’t see the last end coming when all is revealed. the last chapter though…. who dunnit?

I liked: keeps you wanting to read & find out
I would change: the middle - drags
I didn’t like: the predictability
