I genuinely feel like this was the best in the series so far. I loved getting more of Aeduan's backstory which was so sad, while also seeing his relationship with Iseult develop even more. I also enjoyed that this book started to bring all of the characters together, especially ones who had been separated for the last couple of books. So excited to continue on but sad that I'll be caught up until Witchlight releases!

Although this is a novella and I thought of skipping it at first I ultimately gave it a shot since I read that some major plot twists will be revealed in Bloodwitch and they won't necessarily be as impactful without having read Sightwitch. With that being said, this was a fantastic novella that I devoured in a couple days. The atmosphere was very witchy, creepy and mysterious and I loved every second.

This second entry was absolutely fantastic just like the first and I completely flew through it. The only reason I rate it 4.5 instead of 5 is due to the fact that some things were just brought up out of nowhere, or some characters immediately understood something about themselves/could use special powers when they hadn't really learned much about it beforehand. I feel like those things needed a little bit more time to develop before they just happened.

I loved this book so much and am already so excited to jump into the second. The only tiny gripe I had was that occasionally things would escalate super quickly and I'd be like "whoa what the heck how did we get here" but it isn't enough for me to dock points because regardless this was fantastic.

Was not prepared for the intense smut towards the end but oh my. I enjoyed this book, it was a refreshing fantasy romance.

It was a bit slow to start and definitely slow in many places because it's mostly showing us Itachi's life leading up to his joining the Anbu rather than showing us the insanely horrible things he was forced to do in Naruto. It's building up for that in the second book, so this one was mainly just set up for his story.

Jesus this was spooky as hell. I felt like the beginning was much better but it got even more interesting in the last 100 pages or so. Truly spooky and highly recommend.

If you've seen the film, the Wybie character is not in the book and the bit where the other mother becomes a spider and Coraline is caught in her web alsonis not there. The rest of it is pretty spot on, but it made for a very underwhelming ending.

I know this series is popular but I wasn't expecting to love this first volume so much. It's such a beautiful and emotionally-rich story.
