The most insufferable, trashy, badly written book I have ever held in my hands. Wanted to power through it as a "fun read", but it was impossible. Anyone who finished this book is a stronger human than me. Or simply a teen into dark shit. If this book came out 15 years ago, I'd probably love it, too.

I wanted to love this book for the twins' sake, but it was too slow for me, full of cliché phrases, unnecessary explanations, and oddly written dialogue. I do love Vex and Vax, their dynamic is good - like it canonically is - but that it about it. Gods, I really wanted to love this book.
