Looking for Alaska by John Green

John Green has the capacity for amazing writing. He limits himself and his creativity because of his youth audience. There are moments and flashes of literary brilliance in this book. But they're almost awkward accompanied with the monotonous dialogue that riddles the text. With that being said - for a youth novel, it is great. I would love to see Green stretch his legs, and really show us what he's made of.

This book hurt my heart. Refused to be grasped entirely. And took more than it gave.
And yet.
