Powerful and frightening. Although there are many aspects of this patriarchal distopean future that are extreme and unlikely, there are enough plausibilities to make it a truly nightmar inducing read, especially in our current chaotic political environment.

the kiddo and I read a little to each other every night before we snuggle on bed to read our own books. This has always been a favorite movie of ours and the book was well worth reading. The story was rich and full of little twists.

This was an amazing book about Maya Angelo and her relationship with her mother. It was inspiring and should be a recommended read for every mother and daughter.

always a pleasure reading Harry Potter and the illustrated edition was a real treat. Yes thus is a reread for me, but there's no harm in revisiting an old friend.
