I enjoyed this book a lot, I really like the world building and grew attached to the characters. Be warned though, this book contains mental and physical abuse in personal detail so that those sections of the book gave me a lot of anxiety, even when I had set it down and walked away. There is also a depressed character who attempts suicide. After taking a break I was able to finish it, and the ending does tie it up in a way that I found satisfactory so that it doesn't worry me so much anymore.

I really loved when they went to the other nations and learned more about the half-dragons though, and the audience got to learn more about the world in which the story is set. And the scenes with the quigutl made me so happy, I'm glad we got to learn more about them because they were one of my favorite things about the first book.

Tw forgot to say for this weird nobility incest where two royals were engaged but they weren’t really romantically involved though they were emotionally close. Also tw for rape mention and child abuse

Couldn't help but fly through this book even though it was like 55 hours of audio. Time to reread all the other books in the cosmere now that it's clear they're in the same universe. Going to have to reread all of the stormlight books as well while we wait for book #4.
