Thank you NetGalley and Publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

This was a crazy read! I loved the concept, characterization and the overall vibe of the book. The relationships and the betrayal of everything really made the book soar over some Romantasy  I have read in the past.

The last 50 pages felt like a whirlwind so I would advise you to REALLY slow your reading down.

Honestly, I was very bored when reading the sequel. I just felt like we didn’t really add much to the overall story. I do agree that there were some interesting elements including the “dog intelligence” and the strenikk but overall i felt like the plot points that were added were very small and just gave the reading an overall sense of the distrust in government and war.

All I can say was WOW! This was a spectacular fantasy and I literally have no complaints about this. Neema is a High scholar from the Raven Kingdom.  She is thrown in to be a contender of the crown after the previous raven contender is murdered. Neema has to solve a murder, survive the trails and keep her secrets hidden all at the same time. Can she do it?

The characters in this novel are all so different and have their own personal challenges. Their relationships between one another fluctuates and its so refreshing to see how they are written. Cain and Neema’s relationship was by far my favorite. I loved how they interacted and grew into their feelings no matter the past. The plot was Amazing it was split into multiple days making it easier to understand how the competition works.

My favorite part was how the perspectives and POVs change. We got to see everything and know everything because of Neema and her connection to the Ravens. It was so crazy seeing how they ravens knew more than what was going on. While the ravens knew more we were still left in the dark with Neema. So interesting and fun!

Thank you to NetGalley and publishers for letting me read and review this novel.

I thought this was a fun quick read with a good amount of mystery and romance. I loved the overall vibe of the matchmaking agency and all of the characters and culture intertwined in the story.

The ending wasn’t expected it kept me guessing til the end.
