Not the best book I’ve ever read but also not the worst? Idk why people were DNFing it like so quickly???

Great queer poly rep that didn’t feel like forced? They actually communicate and share space which was great to see! But also an interesting magic system that was a mix of magic and alchemy. Interesting characters that felt developed at times but then would go back to their like basic cores at the worst times!!! All in all good book but I’m glad I got an arc and didn’t purchase it. Also, Ending felt really rush?? Wonder if there will be another book.

It took a while for the story to get going as this is the first book in a trilogy and had a lot of world building but all the characters have so much weight to them and it just became much more of an interesting story.
I can’t wait to read the rest of it

It’s a lot of things that it does well but nothing it does amazing. It’s a good fantasy, an ok murder mystery and a rushed romance just felt really rushed and incomplete by the end
