Due to recommendation of book-tuber picking up this book was a brilliant choice. The story with backdrop of music present in it is incredibly poetic simultaneously. The themes and story goes dark places suddenly but it is also extremely melancholic. The characters go through the wringer and then also its extremely beautifully written with the prose being one of the best. The book might be around 400 pages but it develops and builds each of the characters and plot perfectly on point. Must read for anyone interested to pick a standalone science fiction book for the year.

I have read one of the most close-hitting non-fictional books in a long time. The book seemed to point out traits and ways of functioning of an introvert so close and personal. It is a must-read for anyone trying to understand an introvert.

The narrative style is something that needs time getting accustomed to but as a whole, very grim dark book with absolute wretched characters. The prose and story flows extremely fluid. The good characters we tend to like all turn up dead eventually and always in gut wrenching and painful manner.

My inspiration to read this novel was due to the manga Vagabond and a book-tuber recommendation. The philosophy and development of a character through his life is done so well that it deserves its appreciation to be a classic.
But like classics usually have an issue of long windedness and supporting characters of being not much fleshed throughout but abruptly changing towards the end was kinda jarring.
Overall this was a spiritual and incredibly positive journey in the overall than its little flaws.
