I really wanted to like this book. I had heard so many good things about it and was intrigued by it as a horror fan. However, this book seemed to fall a bit flat for me, especially towards the ends. Undoubtedly there were some very gripping/interesting scenes, but more often than not I found myself utterly confused while reading.  For example, the mention of the giant space turtle at the end, what was that about?? Not to mention the (questionable) orgy scene.. it’s possible that these were references that went over my head, but nonetheless it made it hard for me to fully enjoy this book.
