Looking at it as a whole, I found the story very touching and like the messages it conveys. However, the book has a very slow pace, and Iā€™m not sure I would have finished it if I hadnā€™t listened to the audiobook.

I had expected a very different book! Not that Iā€™m disappointed, but it was much less crazy and wild, and instead had many passages of thoughtful ā€“ I guess ā€œdigressionsā€ is the right word ā€“ that surprised me.

Really sad, but also somehow hopeful? I havenā€™t read many plays (only one if you ignore the ones read for school), but after the Pillowman Iā€™m wondering if I shouldnā€™t read more.

This book was so much fun! The main selling point is definitely the atmosphere. The ending wasnā€™t perfect, but for me it was all about the journey with this one.

Found out Vidal had idiotic opinions and couldnā€™t take a word seriously after that (which is sad because to book started really well).

I mostly started reading this book to explore my limits when it comes to disturbing literature and figure out what I like to read. The 10% I read didnā€™t disturb but disgusted me.

I always say that I do not reject anything on principal because everything can have a point in the right context. But this one is just repulsive and I donā€™t care for it.
