The chemistry and character development between Kid and Han was absolutely beautiful and I saw myself reflected in both of them, but Han especially.

That feeling of gloom after going thru something so tragic where you just mask yourself off from the world presenting this happy-go-lucky self but internally dying and trying anything to numb the pain. That need to get away and escape.

Experiencing certain deaths change you, and you carry that with you always.

I truly love how Kid helps Han thru her trauma and loves all of her broken. All of her darkness. How he is there for her even when she self sabotages thinking she's incapable or undeserving of his or anyone's love.

And Han gives Kid purpose, before her he would just live each day in the moment not worrying about what's to come. She made him want to better himself for her and motivated him and gave him that final push to get sober and truly envision a future for himself.

This book was absolutely amazing and is truly beyond words but we will try.

*And shout-out to Kid cause I absolutely loved his character and cannot wait to read his book next.*

The pain, the trauma, the betrayal in this book runs so deep. I could not put it down.

Let me preface this by saying cheating is never okay, however, I understand how certain situations can you lead you there.

In the case of Cole, she was in a relationship with someone who couldn't care less about her truthfully and she was completely dependent on him financially, not to mention she moved there for him so she has no family or friends there. Being isolated and deprived from true affection can really fuck with you.

Patrick her bf of 3 years is a POS and doesn't listen to her or hear her concerns. He also showers and cleans himself after sexy time and that is so disrespectful and degrading to do to your partner.

It's truly beautiful to see both Cole and Hawke come together. Cole coming into herself and letting go, and Hawke putting down his walls and letting Cole in.

This is a 10/10 and you 100000% need to read it.

These just keep getting better and better. I will deff say that this one held a much heavier tone all the way through. There was quite a bit of times I had a ball in my throat while reading almost bringing me to tears. Emotions were very high with this one.

Just like Annika, I find myself wanting to hug that lil boy that endured so much and tell him everything will be ok.

The relationship building through these stories is simply amazing and I was deff a fan of the grumpy/sunshine trope in this one. You got extroverted, high spirited Annika, and you got laid back, and reserved Craighton.

It's always the quite ones you gotta look out for
