This book took me the longest to get into because I was so crushed after Cursed Fates, but I think this was my favorite book so far. These authors really know how to pack a gut wrenching punch but there’s also humor and moments of hope that keep me going. I’m ready to jump right in to the next one, if not a little anxious about the wellbeing of my heart along the way.

I like Elizabeth O’Roark books, I’ve read several at this point and they’re just the type of romance that are easily digestible and fulfilling from a plot perspective. This one is a 3 only because of the miscommunication from James throughout because I can’t stand that trope. But the underlying story and Elle as a character overall, I enjoyed.

Well I didn’t expect to bawl like a baby but, here we are. This was so good. I couldn’t put it down.

There were a couple moments with weird music that didn’t quite fit the vibe, but I like the overall cast, particularly Andarna.

I love Elderberry Falls and was looking forward to revisiting this cozy and magical world. I really like Cora Crane’s writing and the way each story is great under the romance element. For me, this one was a little more monstery than I think I prefer, however that is absolutely a personal taste matter and not reflective of the writing or the world building and character development.
These books are very inviting and easy to digest and I love the magical atmosphere that is so present in each and every book in this series.
