The Garden of Eden by Ernest Hemingway
2.0
While this book was very interesting, and unlike anything I'd ever read before, it left me a little dissatisfied. I wanted to know more than what was in the text. There was emotion, but it always appeared so briefly that by the time I recognized it, it was over. The dialog was so simplified that it left me more confused than enlightened, and I wished to get to know the characters better, but they were so terse.
Perhaps I would have enjoyed this book more as part of a class or book club, but on my own, I felt like a lot of it was lost on me.
