An absurd book that is not disturbing, though. The King of Bavaria Ludwig II (the one from Neuschweinstein Castle to be clear) watching TV until he gets dizzy. An unobtainable Wagner whom even Parsifal goes in search of and over all, Karl, Swann King and factotum of the unfindable theater.

Un libro assurdo che peró non disturba. Il re di Baviera Ludovico II (quello del castello di Neuschweinstein per capirsi) che guarda la tv fino a stordirsi. Un Wagner introvabile di cui anche Parsifal va alla ricerca e su tutti, Karl, Swann King e factotum dell teatro introvabile.

 I was familiar with the story because I had read it somewhere and she had dedicated Horse to her husband with the date of birth and death. The heartbreak though was still so much, because a bereavement like this is hard to imagine, only for a son/daughter would be worse.
Nonetheless, the author manages to remain fluent and light, as if she were writing another book about the plague while putting the tragedy in the background. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it, despite the theme.

La storia mi era nota, perché l'avevo letta da qualche parte e lei aveva dedicato Horse al marito con la data di nascita e di morte. Lo strazio peró é stato comunque tanto, perché un lutto come questo é difficile da immaginare, solo per un figlio sarebbe peggiore. Ciononostante l'autrice riesce a restare scorrevole e leggera, come se scrivesse un'altra volta un libro sulla peste mettendo il lutto sullo sfondo. Mi é piaciuto molto e lo consiglierei, nonostante il tema.

 Not really my cup of tea, and mostly I wasn't able to pay attention for such a long time. A clear case of: it's me, not you.

Non è proprio il mio genere ed inoltre non sono stata in grado di prestare attenzione per così lungo tempo. Un chiaro caso di: non sei tu, sono io.

 Für einen YA, sagen wir mal, ging es sehr stark um eine bestimmte Art von kinky Sex, aber abgesehen davon waren die beiden Charaktere wirklich ein bisschen zu perfekt, um real zu sein, und auch zu leistungsstark. Außerdem fand ich einige Formulierungen und Situationen etwas zu repetitiv, aber da sie eine meiner Lieblingsautoren ist, fiel mir das mehr als gewöhnlich auf. Niedlicher Cameo-Auftritt von Olive und Adam. Viola Müller macht immer noch einen hervorragenden Job und ich gebe ihr nicht die Schuld für meine Enttäuschung.

Per essere uno YA diciamo che ci andava giú veramente pesante con un certo tipo di kinky sex, ma a parte questo, i due personaggi erano veramente un po' troppo perfettini per essere veri e anche troppo high performative. Ho trovato anche un po' ripetitive alcune frasi e situazioni, ma siccome lei é una delle mie autrici preferite, la cosa mi ha colpito piú del solito. Carino il cameo di Olive ed Adam. La narratrice fa comunque un lavoro superbo e non le imputo nulla della mia delusione.

A collection of short stories to stay a little longer in the world of Megan Whalen Turner. There are also glimpses of the future that make me hope for a sequel with Gen and Irene's children or Sophos and Helene's children or anyone is fine as long as there is a sequel.....

Una collezione di racconti per rimanere ancora un po' nel mondo di Megan Whalen Turner. Ci sono anche sprazzi di futuro che mi fanno sperare in un seguito con i figli di Gen e Irene o di Sophos ed Helene o va bene anche chiunque basta che ci sia un seguito.....

 What a disappointment this fifth book all about Kamet's escape from Mede aided by Costis and how, slowly the dynamic of their relationship changes. I'm sorry, but I'm completely centered on the main ARC and was only looking forward to Gen and Attolia's appearance, even though theirs was a very sad appearance.

Che delusione questo quinto libro tutto incentrato sulla fuga di Kamet da Mede aiutato da Costis e di come, lentamente la dinamica della loro relazione cambi. Mi dispiace, ma io sono completamente centrata sulla ARC principale e non aspettavo altro he apparissero Gen e Attolia, anche se la loro é stata una tristissima apparizione.

Un po' più lento dei precedenti e anche non troppo interessante perché Irene e Gen sono poco presenti.

Given how it began, this book was an incredible succession of surprises. Of course, I'm already reading the sequel, and I'm enjoying and loving this series like I haven't in a long time.

Considerato com'era cominciato, questo libro é stato un incredibile susseguirsi di sorprese. Ovviamente sto giá leggendo il seguito e questa serie mi sta divertendo e piacendo come non mi capitava da tempo.
