The Doctor Who Fooled the World: Andrew Wakefield's war on vaccines by Brian Deer
informative
4.5
I'm not a huge fan of his writing style, but an incredible book none the less. I thought I knew pretty much everything about Wakefield, but this plumbed new depths.
Drink?: The New Science of Alcohol and Your Health by David J. Nutt

Informative without being preachy, and written in a very accessible tone.
The Cage: The fight for Sri Lanka the Last Days of the Tamil Tigers by Gordon Weiss

As someone with very little knowledge, I found it a good starting point. While the main focus is the last period of the war, with a specific focus on the myriad ways international law was broken, he spends the first half of the book laying out the background and causes of the conflict which I found very helpful.
Love by Roddy Doyle

Not my favourite of his, just couldn't bring myself to care about anything Joe was saying. The narrator at least was a little more interesting - and the ending was excellent.
