An absolutely fascinating book that explores historical mythmaking, the role of Christian Zionism, the ideological battles between Zionism and Judaism, methods of colonisation and the exploration of borders in geopolitical and mythistorical terms.

I found the afterword, talking about al-Sheikh Muwannis, the village that Tel Aviv university was built upon, a powerful and emotional read.
