CHIMPANZEES?????????? My friend finished before me and this was the twist. Not Big Foot. Chimpanzees. Thank God I didn't finish it.

A Discovery of Witches

Not worth finishing - Diana was insufferable and a Mary Sue. The info dump was boring and lost me. I'll stick to the TV show.

THIS DESERVES A STANDING OVATION. So spooky, so beautiful, and the attention to detail with the green ribbon?! Horrific in every good way.

I really loved Riley Sager's first two books, but now they all read the same - slow burn until the last 50 pages, then throw every twist imaginable until the end. The twists felt sloppily done, especially
Ashley being Billy's killer. The party she went to was briefly mentioned by Ragesh and her in a flashback, but to use that as the device to ultimately kill Billy was very flat and lazy. Also the fact that the Hawthorne Institute ultimately had nothing to do with the story??
Disappointed.

Wow. I thought I would love this book because Jaws is one of my favorite movies - definitely not the case. One of the few instances where the movie was better. One star for the shark parts, and .25 for the conservation efforts Benchley did after the damage this book did to sharks.
