Not the worst book ever but I spent most it wanting to strangle the MC. The side characters were far more interesting and I read for them.

This is a good, uncomplicated read with an interesting cast. I wish there was a little more focus on the side characters like Tang Wei. We got a lot of surface level information but I think we could have gotten deeper. I’m looking forward to the sequel.
