this book took me much too long to get into. half of it seemed to just be a day to day about an office worker... and one that doesn't do much. for me, i don't like reading books too familiar. i like books that are totally out of this world to me. and a girl who goes in a does her job without being connected hits home for me.
once she began to get out of her shell the book got much better in my eyes, but that wasn't till about half way through the book. overall, i appreciate this book; i think it brought suicide, depression, and the feeling of simply being lost to a much more public eye. i think this book was written in a way that feels like how a person with suicidal thoughts and depression would really think. Eleanor's actions and thoughts seems so realistic that sometimes it is scary. her sudden change after the concert is a simply marvelous adaption of the pain people with suicidal thoughts feel. this book also encourages everyone to really check up on those around us, because you never know how well they can hide their emotions.
