I would love to see this book adapted for stage. I found that reading this book reminded me a lot of drama, with the ending short cuts, the traditional tragedy it builds up to, and also the characters.
Imelda's younger story annoyed me, not for the lack of punctuation (which was frustrating but I found it interesting too), but for how unrealistic I found her character. Though by the end of the book I mostly forgave it, because I started to look at the protagonists as allegorical figures, rather than real life people.
