The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

I listened to an audiobook of this book, and though I doubt I would be able to get through a physical copy, I was delighted by the characters and caricatures in this story. The plot was engaging from start to finish, and you could almost feel all the pieces being slotted into place as the Count's revenge plot unfolded. Slowburning, classic revenge - gorgeous.
