Gonna do a written review on this soon. when my 48 hour book challenge is up. (:
im finally finished this book. I'm gonna do the written review when im done with the challenge. (:
I know richard from youtube and he's one of my friends on there. But lke any book I will give my personal opinion of this book. Even if i know the writer.
Saying that lets start. (:
this book would of been a great read for halloween. Maybe a re read? umm hell yes. This book made me creeped out, and suspenseful at the same time.
lets get on with the characters.
the book only spotlight on one charater which mara, I really hated her at times cause of the things she would do and don't really understand.
I wish there were more characters to connect with in this book because that would made more conflict for this story.
but however the supporting characters were great, but i would liked to see the background story to each of these characters, just to know them probably.
The setting of the story was a let down, the description of the places she was in were like school. car. home. dance studio. you know setting a scene with detail would of been key.
But however Richard has done a great with only writing a book thats only 50 pages long.
this book reminded me alot of the black swan, but Young adult literture.
but overall this book get 3 stars.
it was a good short horror story.

OMG!!! everyone you are so right. I loved this book.
But lets get into the reviewing time, since I only do written reviews for ebooks. (:
Characters:
The characters developing in this story at the beginning was abit slow. For example when meeting Anna, I found her to be abit annoying and to whiney for me. I was thinking ohno, not another "Aww, does he love me." kinda of book. Which some parts in the book it did (But I just skipped them cause boy I hate it. hahah). But when it got past a few chapters, Anna started to grow on me but it didn't dawn on me that she was a good character until St Clair came into the picture. Then you got to see her really develop.
St Clair, boy all the girls wanted him. But you could tell he was damaged from the beginning of the book, cause of the things he would do with Anna while he had a girlfriend. *Not really a spoiler* but it just got me guessing at certain times, is there gonna be more to him. Then boom, out of the blue a twist started to happen and you understand why. As I said about St Clair that he is good "love insterst". Finishing the book, I stand by it. He differnt, erractic and just down right a synical. Plus he has the main featues of being a nice guy. totally man crush. hahaah. But if I had my way St Clair would be an awesome friend to have. Even tho he did get into a couple of fights with his friend Josh. But like Rashmi said in the book "Friend do fight" which is so true.
Also there group of friends are amazing and they all just loveable and relatable in so many aspects. You have Merideth the nice fun girl of the group and Josh and Rashmi is the couple of the group. they are so supportive with each other even with anna, and they just opened their group up to her without a blink of an eye. Thats on group to belong to.
Plot/Storyline:
I thought it was really cool, how they were best friends and you things get abit differnt. Which is predictable from the start of the book. But the rollercoaster that both St Clair and Anna ride is insteresting to read and I loved every moment of it. The book wants you wanting to read and the plot just helps with doing so.
Expectants:
I expected another "Does he love or not, waaah I want to have cry so people notcie me." you know the type. With the all about me main character and the heartrob in the middle. Its like that but more. Trust me, I was suprised by how I actually liked this book and I hate books like this. So I was suprised.
Rating:
I give this book 4.5 out of 5.
The reason why this is a hard 5 is because of the Whiney parts in the book, but owell its a good dam book.
hope you liked my review.
Cheers
Greg. (:

Characters:
you are introduced to Alenna and my first impression of her was that she was kinda of WHIMP. But as she progressed through the book Alenna become actually a really good protagist. But at times i found her to be a annoying meaning, when she was second guessing herself, she'll be repeating it throughout the book. meaning if an event happen, she'll be like "i should of done that, or should i trust this person. This was consist throughout chapters 10 to 20. arggh. at time she whined about things, like "i should she that, what is he gonna think of me." dude your on an island with crazed murders and your stressing about what a boy thinks about you? um, i think your in the wrong book. hahah. But however even tho, i ddnt connect with Alenna, i did however like another character.
Gadya! Now I reckon Gadya should of been the protagist. because she was a WARRIOR man. she was so strong, she fought with all her might and her trust issues were so limited. Great warrior. But i ddnt like how she went hot and cold on Alenna. First she's resucing her, then she's her friend, then she's jelaous of her, then she hates her. arrgh, make up your mind lol, but i did like this character more than i like Aleenaa.
Now lets get to Liam. Surpisingly, Liam wasnt in the book often. mid way thru we dont get to see him. I was like dude, really. But when i got to read him, i wasant impressed. usually the male protagist is usually the main focal point of the book, this guys wasnt. Which i kinda like actually, cause i personally didnt like Him. lol.
Setting:
The setting of the book was great, the island, the native animals, the drones. The drones are these crazy people that are just scary and really stuffed up in the head. But their coustmes they wore was actually really cool. the mask, paint and robes. out of it, but really cool. The enviroment the Drones lived in was gross and I felt really disgusted by that. Overall Lissa did a great book settig the tone and the surroundings of this book.
Overall.
I recommend this book to dysopan loving people or people who want to get into the genre. this is a good book to kick it off. It's action packed, thrilling and the storyline is really good.
I give this book four out of five stars. (:
