god what an incredible book. genuinely speechless. it is so vivid, had me tearing up in public and reading like my life depended on it at times.

i know i am going to be thinking about this one for a long time, and recommending it to everyone.

was a good short story to read in it's entirety on christmas evening! i think that sometimes things were over-explained and it was unnecessary and so it made some parts feel a bit clunky and also the characters are not fleshed out past their archetypes but tbh i dont really care about that second point cause its a short story with a main focus on plot and atmosphere. i think it was fun overall! glad i gave it a shot

ok at times i felt maybe im a bit old for this book and found myself wanting it to be something a little more but it was genuinely a very fun read and i did feel like i followed and understood each of the characters which is rare for me when there's this many.

i'd say i enjoyed it overall and i think it's worth a shot if you tend to like this genre :)
