I wanted to like this book. I really did. But it just wasn’t funny to me. It might have been the fact that english is my second language or I dunno, but it just bored the hell out of me

I don't even know where to start. You get a really original story and that's the only thing that I can say about this book that's not negative.
It was just so boring, sexist, badly written and my gosh the ending was just plain stupid. Some parts of the story basically repeated itself like 5 times and I literally hoped for this to end already.
It's such a shame cause I feel like the idea is not bad and it could have been a great book but unfortunately you get a book about a man who learns two spells in the whole book but is ready to say something incredibly distasteful about basically any woman around.
So it's a nope from me

This book broke something in me. An amazing story which is not only beautifuly written but also taught me a lot about the history of Afghanistan.
I will carry Amir, Hasan and all the other characters with me for a long time.
The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that there were some parts of the plot that felt too predictable.

I don’t know whether to five 3 or 4 stars cause even though I couldn’t put it down it somehow feels like it was not necessary.
Don’t get me wrong I loved Haymitch and getting to know more about a lot of the characters but the plot is kinda the same as the original Hunger games and with us knowing what’s gonna happen to the family it just didn’t move me as it probably should have.
I will forever prefer the Ballad over this but if you enjoy the plot of the games itself this is your book.
