The writing really made me abhor the man in the story- but I’m so glad that in the end Annie was able to acknowledge and relay the abuse she endured, and why he was such a horrible person. I feel bad not giving it a 5 star but I just hated the guy so much lol (but a writer has to be pretty good to elicit that reaction so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

I had already seen the tv special based on this book but I just love how insightful these two men are and how they navigate the world in kindness and joy.
