My sister actually introduced me to this manga series a while back. On my recent visit to the library, I stumbled across the physical book and gave it a read. It brings back memories of how much I enjoyed the show but unfortunately it got buried sometime in my life.
I enjoy both Tuesday and Carole's characters, ADORING Carole's pet owl Jiggy. Of how they found each other and discover they are each other's missing piece to their musical counterpart.

My feelings toward this novel are complicated. I enjoyed the suspense, mystery of the missing Black girls and the identity of the Jackal, referred to as Jack.
In this town, 95% of them in my opinion are shitty. Which brings me to the real world problem of the lack of coverage missing Black girls receive. This is the main premise Jackal highlights, as the recent Black girl to go missing is 11- years old and biracial. Her mom is caucus, furious that her child became missing on her wedding night and that she is not receiving an urgency of importance from the police because they view her as a Black girl, thus unimportant.
The narrative gave a spotlight to the reality of this truth. That Black women are the most unprotective class, period. How disheartening society is and ostracizes the very queens who walk this earth. There will be a change to it, I know it.
Thankful I switched from the ebook to its audio.

A fast-paced dystopian graphic novel that has great graphic detail. Enjoyed the suspense and plot twist to the story and its charcaters.

I personally want to exclaim how freaking good this audio is!!!!!!
To be in honest, I did not give this much thought in the beginning. My love of witchy woo things and seeing readers on insta rave about this title peeked my interest. So I placed a hold on it at my library and forgot about it. Now, I am so happy past me did this as I'm on my second round of listening to it. Now I'm kinda bummed missing out on Fairyloot's special edition of this book and hope to get a copy in the future.
I adore Mina Moon's character along with the entire cast. Later discovering it contains "found family" made my heart swell and love TVSSOIW even more🥰 mixed with a bit of romance was the frosting on top of this magical cake

This was full on hotness. Cal and Ivy's characters are so insufferable and cause more trouble than helped.
Especially the plot twist on the reason Mateo's mom lost her business. I was COMPLETELY fed up with a certain charater and do not blame Mateo for his reaction.
I was just happy when this ended, tbh I could have lived a happy fulfilled life without the nonsense within these pages🙄
If you have an unhealthy need of enjoying drama, this is the title for you

Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
Did not finish book. Stopped at 21%.

The story feels too sporadic for me and moved too fast to follow. The settings constantly changed and at this point I have no idea where Gideon is, just know she must apply this makeup everyday

This was not my cup of tea. It's quite triggering and has a society that controls women reproductive rights. Solely, from my understanding, on sexual violence.
So I jumped from 32% of the audio to the end and was greatly disappointed with the ending. It leaves a dry cough of hope at the end that is 99.9% uncertain/may not succeed.

Enjoyable story with great illustrations. Took me a bit to get through, not all that captivating. Emotional and often sad at times. Enjoyed the ending
