I really can’t decide how I felt about this one. The first half DRUG and I almost dnf’d and the second half was so good- but I am not sure if I didn’t understand bc I was bored or bc it wasn’t there.

Holy Shit this book. I loved every second. Its a little bit trust the process. Lucy Foley throws so many puzzle pieces at you and you are just sitting there wondering what will happen next. Then she slowly starts clicking them into place when you least expect it throughout the story. It was a masterclass in thriller writing and I loved it.

It was good. Almost great. But I did get a little confused there for a minute.

It took 40% for the plot of this book to actually start including maybe 20% of that being one conversation. (At least it felt that way) and then the climax is only the last 10% to the point where there was so little left I was sure it was going to be a cliffhanger. If this book started at 50% I think it would have been great. Sadly she hooked me enough I’ll probably read Rose and Fionn’s book.

A little over the top bordering on being too much but actually just sweet and sappy and I loved it.

Kennedy Ryan could write her grocery list and it would be steamy.

I want to love this series but too many situations are contrived to make the plot move along and it just takes me out of it.
