Loooove these two. Daniel was perfection and I loved the deep connection Alexis made to this charming small town. The third act was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster because their breakup was so heartbreaking and then the reunion was on the cheesy side without much discussion at all—just straight to dancing under a spotlight at a gala, with rugged Daniel in a tux?? —but other than that I really loved how they met, their chemistry, and their relationship felt very real and sweet. Not sure how I felt about the magical moments like the floating flower petals or the lightning and rain without a cloud in the sky ... there was a bit of needing to suspend disbelief there, but I know some people really love that kind of stuff. Like God is intervening to keep them together or something. Which, to be clear, was the right thing to do ;)

I loved this book!! Bond and Tuesday have incredible chemistry and he's SO. GOOD. TO. HER. He's protective and supportive and SO gone for this girl from the very get-go. I usually like the slow(er) burn style so this instalove story surprised me in how on board I was with them!
One big highlight for me is Bond's incredible communication skills, especially in bed. He's a massive #consentking and that is sooo attractive in an MMC! He's all about enthusiastic, explicit, verbal consent and once he gets it, things get spicy in a hurry! The spicy scenes (and there were lots of 'em! Including toy play!) are written so well.
I loved the fresh start in a small town storyline for Tuesday, whose family was truly horrible to her. I love that she was so instantly accepted by Bond's inner circle and family and it was so beautiful to see her finally treated right and welcomed with open arms.
I also really appreciated that the FMC had curves and Bond loved that about her. My heart! Fabulous body positivity and representation in that sense.
A truly wonderful debut from Albany Archer and I can't wait to read more of the Davis Designs series!

This book was intense in a way I didn't see coming. I won't spoiler it but if you have medical trauma, consider that there's quite a lot of detail given in this book about a serious medical event and it was unfortunately quite close to something I experienced... so while I'm not triggered, it was pretty difficult to listen to and emotionally intense.
I loved the connection between Josh and Kristen but I felt like her steadfast refusal to be with him went on a little longer than necessary... even after they endured a traumatic event that should have been eye-opening, she stuck to her guns and it got a little frustrating.
The HEA ending was lovely for them and yet I would have liked to see it handled differently because it felt like the rug was pulled out from under the entire premise... I'm being vague on purpose so as to avoid spoilers here :)
The characters felt real, natural, and genuine and I loved the banter between the MCs. The writing was good, sometimes intense or suspenseful and emotionally evocative, which kept me listening and made it overall an enjoyable listen.

ARC Review - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
This story. Heart-wrenching, hot, hilarious, and hopeful. (All the H's? Just go with it.)
Bailey Hannah did an incredible job in this debut, weaving suspense, raw emotion, and humor together so beautifully. Set on a gorgeous rural property, everything about this story really came alive (AND WELLS—had to, sorry) and I was absolutely pulled in by the very first chapter, all the way to the end. I loved the unique setting on a cattle ranch with our rugged Not-A-Cowboy Austin and a ragtag bunch of actual cowboys—who I am so excited to read more about in the rest of the series!
Austin is prime book boyfriend material (the stern brunch daddy who would scoff at the very idea of brunch) and who doesn't love a man with a past tragic heartbreak learning to love again? Cecily was a fantastic character who had me rooting for her (and her relationship with Austin) from the get-go. I love love looooved this book. The slow burn was perfect for who they were and where they were in their lives, and the spice was fantastic when it finally hit—and there was plenty of it! An easy five stars from me.
