Oona Out of Order is, hands down, one of the best books I’ve read this year. I was lucky enough to win it in a Goodreads giveaway. Margarita Montimore has unveiled a new and inventive plot; relatable characters; and a fun, fresh writing style. Without revealing the storyline’s main surprise, I will say that this unputdownable novel takes readers on a wild ride from beginning to end. I, for one, cannot wait to see more of Montimore’s work.

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway, and it did not disappoint. Just to be clear, supporters of President Trump will likely find this fiercely unapologetic collection of satirical essays to be offensive. However, far from being simply a compilation of biting partisan complaints, this book provides a look into the very real possibility that one can see another’s perspective while still holding a strong opposite opinion. Furthermore, the immensely talented author shows how crucial the employment of comedy and self-expression via writing are to the stress relief process. Overall, I highly recommend this book to those who are not Trump fans or those who are his supporters but don’t mind exploring insights into an opposing viewpoint.

I won Love Lettering in a Goodreads giveaway, and it proved to be exactly the kind of book I needed for distraction during the stressful days of the Covid-19 pandemic. A fun, contemporary romance, Love Lettering features endearing, multi-dimensional characters; realistic dialogue; and a story which manages to keep readers guessing while still providing them with a happy ending. I eagerly await more of author Kate Clayborn’s high-quality work.
