Atwood has an incredible talent for writing both the tormented and the tormentor.
I love Harper’s writing for its familiarity. I haven’t lived in the country for years now but the way she describes the Australian outback I can smell the horses and leather. I also love a good flawed character and I love the way this novel examines the lengths people will go to to protect their family.
It’s not often I give five stars to crime thrillers but this one really got me. A new concept that I thoroughly enjoyed.
