One of the best series finales I have read. This trilogy has been an extremely enjoyable read that has kept me interested every step of the way. All the characters have great depth and the world building really transports you to ancient Italy. Definitely recommend.

I did not enjoy this book. Had it not been for my A-Z challenge I would have given up on it. The story was boring, the characters were bland and the book was full to the brim with overly detailed filler that didn’t add to the story or enjoyment at all.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 12%.
There was nothing that pulled me into this book. The characters felt flat, the plot didn’t seem to exist and it threw in too many words without explanations (for example, the use of “trannies” for transport).

After noticing it had taken me 10 days just to read 12% and also feeling like I couldn’t really recall anything from what I’d read, I decided this was a DNF for me.
