on one hand: poet that produced 'the orange' one of my all time faves and others in this book get close to the affective-turn that poem produces in me every time I read it. on the other hand: I just could not get behind a decent chunk - idk if I was in a bad mood, or it was a product of its time thing - but still - worth it for the orange lol, and that last poem! and Cope is from Erith which really makes me happy

I LOVE ISABEL WAIDNER!!!! Their fictions and prose and style set me racing; I find myself slowly picturing every sentence, constructing every shot that becomes a fluid scene, a montage, a chaos of queer brilliance.
Honestly, thank you to the publishers for sending me this in proof form as I was itching to explore the potentials of Waidner's fiction in my diss and now can ahead of schedule- for now though, this is a ride through space and time, with Bambi, Prize Glory, Blood, Guts, and Capital at risk. In every sense, a whirlwind and such a joy to read. Genuinely - more books must follow suit in finding and capturing such adventure and play.
